Cannabis Centre

Welcome to the Cannabis Centre

Surfers Health Medical Centre aims to streamline and utilise Cannabinoid Medicine in a safe and clinical manner.

We are determined to assist doctors and patients alike in navigating the regulatory pathway for prescribing Cannabinoid products in Australia.

We work closely with patients who suffer from conditions for which there is some evidence that medicinal cannabis therapies may be beneficial. We work in accordance with TGA Guidance documents on medicinal cannabis. Our doctors work in conjunction with each patient’s doctors and health professionals to incorporate Medicinal Cannabis as an adjunct treatment to alleviate symptoms and improve patient treatment outcomes.

Surfers Health Medical Centre welcomes patient referrals from all General Practitioners, and all other Medical Specialists who feel their patients may benefit from Medicinal Cannabis treatment. Patients may also self-refer to Surfers Health without a referral.

Our doctors conduct consultations at our clinic at Circle on Cavill in Surfers Paradise. Visit our clinic today!

The Process

Referring Doctors

At Surfers Health Medical Centre, we work in conjunction with the patient’s treating Medical Specialist and General Practitioner to help assess the patient’s overall wellbeing, track patient progress, symptom relief and medication interactions.

To streamline the application process, your patient referral should include:

  • Patient’s condition
  • List of symptoms which are not relieved by current medications/ treatments
  • List all current medications/ treatments
  • List past treatments and medications which have not relieved symptoms/were not effective
  • Any associated adverse side effects of existing medication
  • Inclusion of wording such as "Thank you for seeing my patient in regards to a trial of Medicinal Cannabis to help relieve the symptoms outlined above"

If you believe your patient may benefit from Medicinal Cannabis as an alternative treatment, please refer your patient to us as we would love to work together with you.
